After School Enrichment Clubs
Mission Statement:
To provide a safe, inclusive, and nurturing environment for students to explore arts, sports, and academics, fostering creativity, teamwork, and a love for learning through community-driven volunteer efforts.
Registration Information: Registration for the spring session opens 2/18/2026 and closes 3/4/2026.
- Online registration is preferred-Paper registration forms will be sent home in backpack mail tomorrow afternoon. Checks should be made payable to: SHRSD PTO-Memo line: Enrichment Cash and paper forms may be sent to the Main Office, Attention: PTO. Registration closes March 4th.
Suggested Tuition: $180 per club
- This amount ensures the program remains accessible and sustainable. If this tuition does not work for your family, please enter the amount that works best for you.
Program Schedule
- Clubs run once a week after school until 4:30 PM. They will run Wednesday, March 11th – Thursday, May 7th. There are no clubs during spring break. There are a total of 8 sessions.
Dismissal & Attendance
- All students will be dismissed to the Enrichment Clubs dismissal location where attendance will be taken. Snacks will be provided for students who do not have one.
If possible, please send a snack with your child, as snack costs reduce funds available for quality programming and supplies. Each club will have a sign displayed; students will gather under their club sign until collected by teachers.
If your child attends aftercare, please notify Y-Care or The Academy directly of any changes to your child’s after-school plans.

SHRSD PTO 2025 SPRING ENRICHMENT CLUBS:
Jiu Jitsu Club Wednesdays with Miss Juliette from Slow and Steady Brazilian Jiu Jitsu 3/11/2026-5/6/2026 (Grades 1–4) Jiu Jitsu Club is an engaging program that introduces students to the fundamentals of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu in a safe, structured, and respectful environment. Students will learn basic techniques, movement, balance, and self-control while building confidence, focus, and discipline. Emphasis is placed on teamwork, respect, and problem-solving—not competition—helping students develop physical coordination and mental resilience while staying active and having fun.
Comic Club Wednesdays with Liz Glynn and Trevor Scott 3/11/2026-5/6/2026 (Grades 1–4) Comic Club: Explore the creative world of comics - Dog Man, Superheroes, Raina Telgemeier series, and more. Kids will read and discuss age-appropriate comics, develop their own characters and stories, and have fun drawing their very own comics.
Drama Club Wednesdays with Miss Horton 3/11/2026-5/6/2026 (Grades 1-2) Drama Club is a creative and confidence-building after-school program where students explore the exciting world of theater through imagination and play. Participants will engage in fun acting games, simple improvisation, storytelling, and group performances that encourage self-expression, teamwork, and communication skills. In a supportive and inclusive environment, students will build confidence, creativity, and stage presence—while having fun bringing stories and characters to life.
Beads & Beyond Club Wednesdays with Ms. Silverman and Ms. Romanowski 3/11/2026-5/6/2026 (Grades 2–4): Each week, students will design a new accessory—like bracelets, keychains, and more—using colorful and creative materials. They’ll get to create and design unique projects to take home each week. All supplies are provided—just bring your imagination!
Cooking Club Wednesdays with Miss Rosso 3/11/2026-5/6/2026 (Grades 2-4)-SOLD OUT!!
In Cooking Club, students will explore the basics of kitchen skills while having fun creating simple, kid-friendly recipes! Young chefs will learn how to measure ingredients, follow step-by-step directions, practice kitchen safety, and work as a team. Each session introduces new foods and techniques while building confidence, independence, and creativity in the kitchen. From sweet treats to savory snacks, students will enjoy hands-on experiences that encourage math skills, reading comprehension, and healthy food choices — all while having a delicious time!
Drama Club Thursdays with Miss Horton 3/12/2026-5/7/2026 (Grades 3–4) Drama Club is a creative and confidence-building after-school program where students explore the exciting world of theater through imagination and play. Classic Games & Lego Club Thursdays with Ms. LaBau and Ms. Weaver 3/11/2026-5/6/2026 (Grades 1–3): The Design and Strategy Club is a fun and welcoming space for students who love to play, build, and connect. Students will enjoy a variety of age-appropriate board games and hands-on LEGO building activities that encourage teamwork, strategic thinking, and creativity. Through friendly competition and collaborative challenges, children will build problem-solving skills, practice good sportsmanship, and strengthen social connections.
DIY Spa Creations Club Thursdays with Ms. Silverman and Ms. Romanowski 3/12/2026-5/7/2026 (Grades 2–4): Welcome to the DIY Spa Creations Club, where students get to relax, create, and have fun while making their very own spa-themed projects! Each week, kids will craft something new from sugar scrubs and bath bombs to calming jars, lip balm, face masks, and more. This hands-on club blends creativity and self-care while teaching simple, kid-safe DIY recipes they can take home and enjoy.
¡Cuentos, Música, y Baile! Thursdays with Miss Perez 3/12/2026-5/7/2026 (PreK-4) Welcome to Cuentos, Música, y Baile! Join us after school this coming Spring 2026 for an exciting journey through the Spanish language and culture! In this club, students will explore stories (cuentos), songs (Música), and dance (baile) from Spanish-speaking countries around the world. Each session combines fun activities with language learning — helping students build confidence while discovering traditions, rhythms, and tales that make the Spanish-speaking world so vibrant. All students are welcome; new, heritage, and native Spanish speakers.
PreK Craft & Story Club Thursdays with Miss Harper 3/12/2026-5/7/2026 (Grades PreK-1): Join us after school for Storytime and crafts! Each session begins with a fun tale, followed by a hands-on art project inspired by the book. This club encourages creativity, builds fine motor skills, and helps foster a love of reading—all in a nurturing, engaging environment.
